On the 2nd day of September, 2013, the Governor of the Central Bank Of Nigeria (CBN) revoked the banking licence of AFRICAN INTERNATIONAL BANK. The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), as liquidator, commenced winding up of the affairs of the bank pursuant to SECTION 40(1) of the NDIC Act 2006 and the Federal High Court on 20th March, 2015 issued the order to wind up the closed bank.

Consequently, all debtors of the closed bank are required to immediately effect payment of their debts. Bank Drafts for the amount owed should be issued in the name of AFRICAN INTERNATIONAL BANK LIMITED (IN-LIQUIDATION) and delivered to the Director, Assets Management Department, NDIC at the address listed below and an official receipt will be issued. Please, do not pay to any unauthorised person.
